Cooperating Technical Partners

In 2022 NOAA reported over 20-billion-dollar disaster events in the United States. For water resource managers looking to improve the way in which they manage flood risk, FEMA’s Cooperating Technical Partners (CTP) Program is a great opportunity to empower their community to take action to reduce risk based on informed, multi hazard-based data and resources.

The benefits of becoming a CTP include potential access to resources for flood hazard identification and flood risk assessments, mentoring support, training, and improved coordination regarding FEMA flood map updates. These benefits can lead to opening doors to additional resources which can help further flood disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation objectives. In this webinar the AECOM team will describe the CTP program and elaborate on the benefits of and process to become a CTP and share a few case studies demonstrating the value of partnering with FEMA through this program.
