Geotechnical Investigation Laboratory Testing

The conditions of the ground on a site are very variable. In fact, the composition of the land can even vary across a short distance. This means there could be a few environmental issues, such as drainage, on one site which could impact how the land will react to new development.  In addition, site history also has a considerable impact on how the land will react to added pressures or changes. The geotechnical investigation serves as a valuable assurance that the project is viable and can be designed and built in an efficient manner. They help in identifying the potential risks involved in proposed building structures on a site.

Deep Foundations Institute of India (DFII) is affiliated to DFI USA and its mission is advancing geotechnical and foundation construction practices in India through its various programs, and strives to implement various skill training programs covering construction manpower in different trades and also civil engineering profession. DFII & National Academy of Construction (NAC) reached understanding to jointly implement skill training programs related to geotechnical investigation works under the DFII Committee for Geotechnical characterisation for Foundation (DCGCF).
