2. Station Redevelopment & Urban Integration
- Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: Redevelopment of 1300+ railway stations into modern, multimodal transport hubs.
- Focus on:
- World-class passenger amenities
- Skywalks, elevated decks, foot-over bridges (FOBs)
- Integration with metro, bus, and parking facilities
- Commercial development of surrounding areas
3. Rolling Stock Production Units
Construction and expansion of manufacturing plants:
- Integral Coach Factory (ICF) – Chennai
- Modern Coach Factory (MCF) – Rae Bareli
- Rail Coach Factory (RCF) – Kapurthala
- Used for building Vande Bharat, LHB coaches, etc.
4. Electrification & Signalling Infrastructure
- Large-scale construction of:
- Electric traction systems
- Overhead equipment (OHE) masts
- Substations, feeder lines, control buildings
- Supports green railway goals by reducing diesel use.
5. Smart & Green Construction Practices
- Use of prefabricated structures, modular construction, Ballastless Tracks, and AI-enabled inspection systems.
- Green building certifications for stations
- Emphasis on solar-powered and rainwater harvesting systems
